Prepares and processes defective or damaged merchandise by identifying, packaging, labeling and ultimately returning or managing merchandise, to include hazardous materials, per company procedures, auditing claims boxes to ensure the contents in the box matches the documentation, tracking claims to ensure proper credit is received by facility, communicating with suppliers and vendors, and completing required inspections, documentation and reports.
Maintains area of responsibility in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment. Receives and stocks merchandise from distribution centers and vendors throughout the facility and organizes the backroom by following company safety, cleaning, and operating procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, setting up displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting.
